We have uploaded all the mandatory details (Name address postal and e- mail, telephone numbers affiliation, details of infrastructures, academic calendar, details of teachers including qualifications, details of teachers training, academic achievements, innovations, overall results, PTA activities, important SMC decisions, number of students, etc)in the website.

The Academic Year 2023 2024 began on Wednesday, 1st June 2023 with an enrolment of around 420 students from Play Class to Class X. Environment Day was conducted with due importance on 5th June. Students planted different trees, in the ground. Chairman also joined. On 7thJune, Praveshanotsav was Celebrated for our little kids of KG Section. Our Teachers have been enriched with regular orientation programmes till date. To inculcate the habit of reading among students, ‘bustaka thottil’ was implemented. Reading Day was inaugurated by the famous poet Sri. Kuripuzha Sreekumar. As a part of Reading week, on 22nd June, Sri. Gireesh Puliyoor came to our school and engaged with our students. First General Body Meeting was conducted on 8th July. PTA members were elected on the same day. Youth Festival was conducted on 14th and 15th of July. I can proudly say that our children became a part of charity programme. They got a chance to visit the people of oldage home in Valsalyam at Varkala. Annual Sports Day was conducted on 11th August with high sportsman spirit. On this special Day Sri. Praveen JS,CI, Varkala was the chief guest and motivated our Athletes as well. Students of classes VI to X participated in Interschool competitions like Badminton and Chess. Class assemblies were conducted with special themes to make a general awareness among students about the importance such themes. Certain special days were also celebrated with special programmes to showcase the importance of, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanthi, Kerala Piravi, Teacher’s Day and Children’s day. We celebrated Onam in a traditional way with Athapukkalam, Onasadhya and Payasam were distributed among Students and Staff. In addition to these, Yoga Day, Anti drug Day, World Population Day, Kargil Vijay divas, Hindi divas and many other important days were observed. Annual Medical Check-Up was conducted. Doctors’ Day was marked with oral hygiene. Sreedhareeyam Eye Hospital conducted a special Eye Camp for all the students on 8th December. Students participated in all internal and external examinations. Daya S Nair and Dhwani Midhun of class X got first prize in inter school power point presentation. Many students got GOLD MEDAL in Interschool competitions like VVM, Olympiad Examinations, Tatva and H&C quiz competitions. NEP based value education is faithfully imparted to all the students. Our Chairman took orientation class on NEP 2020 for all the Teachers and Parents of Jyothis Family. As a part of NEP based education, we conducted two bagless days for our children from classes I to X. Students participated in Literary and Performing Arts Fest conducted by the South Zone Sahodaya Complex and Jyothis Central School Kazhakuttam bagged the Overall Championship in all four categories. Co-curricular activities were also conducted with much importance. Picnics were conducted for classes KG to X. Kindergarten section is functioning effectively under the guidance of able and dedicated Teachers. Their activities are beyond words. They celebrated Colours Day, Milk day, Lemon Day, Mango Day and many other important days and observed Father’s Day in Grand way. We have a strong and active PTA. We had conducted different meetings with PTA executives for discussing infrastructure development, school reopening, School inspection, Sports Day guest, Annual Day celebration, one day trip and school closing and reopening date. We have a well developed SMC members. To buy new school buses, constructing new buildings for science and maths labs, purchasing toys and needed materials for KG, sports materials, construction of auditorium, Senior secondary block were discussed in SMC. A well activated POCSO committee is ensuring the safety and security of our children through out the year. Meetings and awareness classes were held at regular intervals students can inform their issues through complaint box Our 20th Annual Day was celebrated on 20 January. Dr G Gopakumar(Former Vice Chancellor of Kerala University, Kasargod) and KG Markose (Malayalam Playback singer). Different cultural programmes made the event a grand one. Annual examinations for classes I to IX is decided to conduct in the month of March. School closes on 27 March and reopens on the 3rd June 2024.
